Your Area President
Jacob Kristensen was born in Brovst in Denmark, in 1952. Jacob has a daughter Ditte (22 years old) two sons Michael (30 yeras old) and Jan (32 years old).
Jacob is living together with Randi in Ringkøbing.
Jacob is educated as teacher in 1976 and he has been principal for a Danish premier School for 11 years in Ringkøbing.
Jacob Kristensen was chartermember in Østhimmerland´s Y´s Men´s Club in 1981 and has been Club President, District Governor and Regional Director. His service to Y´sdom has included International Service Director and he is International Council Member from 2007 to 2010. He is member of Ringkøbing YMC.
In the spare time Jacob is playing tennis, swimming and running.

Earthquake Haiti….
RD Knud Erik Lykke, Region Denmark and his team have decided to donate 7.000,00 EUR to help disaster victims rebuild their lives and their communities.
At the same time the regional-leadership requests all clubs to donate an amount to the hard suffering victims in Haiti.
The local Ringkøbing Y`s Men`s Club already has donated 4.000,00 EUR to this important purpose.
The donations are given to DANCHURCHAID (Folkekirkens Nødhjælp) , who is managing to get food, temporary shelter, water cleaning materials and expertise to the Haitian Capital.

- that Finn Pedersen, Region Norway, has been elected as IPE, and Paul Erik Didriksen, Region Denmark, and Erik Breum, Region Denmark, have been elected as ICM`s.

Dear Y’s Men and Y’s Youth!
As you all know, February 26 is the Youth Time of Fast day and the youth always try to carry out a TOF project from funds collected during this particular day from their club members and friends.
To help in making it even more successful, a Youth TOF calendar for the month of February has been designed and should be a fun way of collecting money over the entire month and collating it at the end of the month to go towards the project(s).

TIME OF FAST – DONATION CALENDER
Since 1972 it has been a tradition that Y`s Men all over the world give up at least one meal – usually in the month of February. – The cost of the meal is then given to our TOF-fund. – This year it is possible to combine this tradition with another – maybe more funny – way to donate at bit more money to this popular programme.
On Y`s Men International`s website – www.ysmen.org/ you can download a TIME OF FAST – DONATION CALENDER and if you follow this calendars daily recipe – then you can work out which amount you have to pay for this specific day.You can download the calendar in the following languages: Spanish – English – German – French – Polish and Danish (Nordic)

The World Financial Crises has been hard on ymca europe.
Over the last 12 months the world financial crisis ymca Europe has found it increasingly difficult to raise money from its usual sources – and they are now in a position where they have to face an annual shortfall in the budget at EUR 50.000.
That`s the reason why they invite ALL OF us to become friends of ymca europe.
