I am AP in Area Europe 2010-2011.
I live on a beautiful little island called Kråkerøy, south in Norway, with my husband Tormod and my two children and 4 grandchildren nearby. We are both principals in the primary school at the island. I have been member of Y´s men since 1991. In Europe we have 6 different regions with many different languages. But in Y´s Men we are like a big family, living together in harmony. I experience Y´s men to be a place to create friendship and peace. My main interest in the organization has been to establish friendship connections; it is also my interest in my private life. We have friends all over the world, it is incredible. The friendship is the glue in our organization and the platform for all the services all members are doing all over the world. When we have respect and understanding for the different cultures and attitudes, we really create peace among people.
I am proud of being a Y´s member.

As he prepares to retire, ISG Rolando Dalmás has written a farewell message in which he has conveyed his appreciation to the Movement for the opportunity to serve Y's Men International over the past ten years.

Christian Emphasis Seminar in Norway
25. AUG 2010: In the month of June Region Norway for second time arranged a seminar concerning Christian Emphasis within our movement.
We all know that Christianity is the most important part of our movement and this seminar is presenting many good ideas how to practice Christian Emphasis in our European Regions – and – in order to help and assist the clubs in practising CE – Region Norway offers all materials – incl. Power-point-presentation to be used on all levels in our organisation – maybe after translation.

22. JUN 2010:APE Marit Torp, Norway, presented her plans and goals at the Danish Regional Conference in Slagelse - together with 750 participants:
YOU ARE THE FUTURE - TODAY.(psalm 31:16)
To be a good representative, a motivator and administrator.
To keep continuity from AP Jacobs decisions into the future.
Underline that the Y´s Men Movement is built on the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Make development together with my RD´s and their visions and good ideas.
Make a good working team between AP, RD´s and ASD´s.
Strengthen the communication lines in Area Europe.
Promote YMI as a peace organisation - Work for an Idea bank in Area Europe.
To save emphasis on the weak Regions through the Power Team Centres in Europe.
Implement in Europe as much as possible
Forward Plan 2008-2011
Vision 2020
The YES-programme
Extension, new clubs and 250 new members as a goal in Area Europe
Continue the Region to Region seminars.
You are the future - today!
28. JUN 2010:As AP in 2010-11, I have chosen as motto: “You are the future-today”.
We are living today, and only today we know the time. What can I do of good things today? Which positive plans can I prepare for tomorrow? How can I contribute to make the world better ? What dreams and ideas do I have for the time to come? We may ask ourselves a lot of questions,and we do well to to consider and think upon them. What a fantastic possibility: Today I can contribute forming the future!

27. JUN 2010: At Region Danmark`s Regional Conference in Slagelse 19. – 20. June RD Region Sweden IngaSara Cardell made a special – at the same time serious and humorous – speech.

We are all a part of a worldwide family and we are brothers and sisters. Denmark is our big brother in Europe and Sweden is a little sister in this family, Norway I call our little brother. I have learnt the most about Y´s Men in Denmark, from our big brother. I am very grateful for this knowledge.
As a little sister in a family you have to listen to all and so we do. And still we want to contribute to the movement in our way.
Extension is the way to survive for us. To spread to teachings of Jesus Christ is essential for peace in our world. We have to remember that every way possible is just that: possible!! Don´t hesitate to ask. If others find out how nice you are, everyone will join us! We have to try to talk to people, ask them to join us and be happy for every one that shows interest in us!
It will take at least two years from the first time you ask until the answer will be a roaring yes! But you have to start asking today! In two years time we will be more than doubled! When we get a new member they will stay for ever: that is why it is OK to wait for two years for a YES!
So thank you all for being my sister or brother: I am proud to be a member of this family!
